Retrocession Department provides coverage for liabilities from various accounts and accordingly transfer some part of risk to global reinsurance markets. Department is responsible for determining the extent and the structure of retrocession coverage and provide security for different accounts written by Milli Re in order to facilitate efficient and profitable conduct of operations.

Another main task of the Department is to streamline Milli Re’s marketing activities in international markets by underwriting some select property accounts, on proportional and non-proportional basis from developed European markets, as well as supporting some Lloyd’s syndicates. In line with the corporate strategy, business of this nature is kept at a limited level with gradual and controlled growth and refraining from long-tail lines of business.
